Importance of women in Vedic Society.

Scriptures have given thousand of E.g. on importance of women in our society but let's see in widespread, history & based on Language.

--These few words represent wife.

भार्या, जाया, पत्नी, पली, वल्लभा, नारी, प्रिया, हृदयेशा, सुरता, ऊढा, कान्ता, गृहिणी, जनी, दयिता, त्रिणीता, धूता, प्राणिप्रणयिनी, पुरंधिः, प्राणेशा, प्राणेश्र्वरी, प्रेष्ठा, प्रियतमा, रामा, योषणा, योषिता, ललना, वाशिता, विलासिनी, विरा, श्रृङ्गारिणी, सधर्मचारिणी, सहचरी, सती, स्त्री, ग्ना, पतिः, प्रणयिनी, रमा, रमणी। :सधर्मिणी, पत्नी, पाणिगृहीती, द्वितीया, सहधर्मिणी, भार्या,जाया,

Most of the word describes the importance of wife more than a husband, few prove both are equally important.

For eg the common word used as Patni means - who saves the husband to go from the path of Patan/downfall.

--We celebrate 1-day Janmastmi, 1-day Ramnavmi, and Navratri? - 9 Days.

--As said whatever a Good husband does the half is given to the wife so Ardhangani

but any sin performed by husband only he alone deserves & vice versa, any good done by the wife. She alone deserves but any sin has done even her husband needs to suffer half of it.

--There Is no word like Divorce in the Sanskrit Language. It never existed because

marriage was not among 2 loving birds but 2 entire families. There were fights but no husband said Talaq 3 times & set her free or hired a lawyer to file a divorce. Thanks to invaders for ruining our Vedic practice.

The word Samband-viched was later added to the Hindi language.

--Whenever a baby girl is born she represents or been called by names such as Maa Laxmi, Parvati, Saraswati, or Radharani.

Even when marriages take place we always say Laxmi has arrived, father in law never says Lord Vishnu arrived.

These are Lok Maryada which has been followed even today, especially in many parts of Bharatvarh.

--Duty of a husband was to take care of the entire family but the duty of a wife was more, along with the house duties she needed to take care of the entire Community, the entire country.

As also proven by science 8 traits in a child's behavior comes from Mothers Genes, so we had brave Warriors like Shivaji, Maharana Pratap, Bajirao, Bhagat Singh, etc. She gives birth to a child, a warrior, a patriot, a saint.

Saints are not related to any maternal parents but as per the teachings of Sri Adi Sankrachrya - he went to give fire to the dead body of her mother. A person sitting on Vyas peeth to talk on scripture is not allowed to stand up and show respect to anybody because he is considered as Lord Vyas himself but when the mother arrives he is been given full right to stand up and do dandvat pranam to his material mother.

This is Vedic Bharat which is still unharmed & should remain unharmed by any evil powers because in the future Lord Kalki would be in search of such a pure Vedic practicing mother to bless her womb by appearing.
