Karma
A soldier killing 500 enemies on the battlefield would get him a Medal from The King (Government) & the same soldier killing even a single civilian in his hometown is going to land him in Prison. Similarly, is the karmic cycle. When we perform karmas for our own self, family, etc members we get ourselves trapped within this material Jail, we are punished with the karmic fruits. The moment we start doing karmas for our King, God, Soul, The Creator.
We get the medal of Bhakti, Mukti in present material body & even after we leave the material body. E.g.. Sri Krishna on the battlefield asked Arjuna to kill those who are serving from Kauravas. Arjuna laments saying I can't perform such a crime by killing my relatives. O Krishna, what pleasure shall we find in killing the sons of Dhritarashtra? Upon killing these felons we shall incur sin only. (1.36) Shree Krishna said: 11.32 Gita I am time, the seasoned annihilator of the worlds, engaged in destroying all these people. ven without your (effort), all those hostile warriors will not exist in the future. Sri Krishna shows his Virat Swaroop chewing all Kauravas, asking Arjuna to perform your duties unconditionally as orders & not his personal benefit. A perfect example of Nishkaam Karma. (Following orders) and he did, Arjuna was never bound to this karmic cycle of killing his own relatives. How to implement in our current life?--Perform Karma for serving Bhagwan, if one stays in Grihastha ashram. Every work we do, we need to understand ourselves as a medium to serve our family members, we are Just The Medium, serving & not the Doer. "I, Me, Mine" should never control us.
After performing karmas with the guidelines mentioned in scriptures we can dedicate all fruits towards Bhagwan, let him decide what's best for us, we need not worry about any fruits. Thanks to Dhaval Bhaiya for Sharing such a beautiful article.
