Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and his hypocrisy...
'We should stand with the god sent people like these Christians(British) than these Kafirs(Hindus) and help the Christians to rule over this nation for we have many things in common'Sir,#SyedAhmedKhan said this in one of his speech.
17th October is celebrated as Sir Syed Ahmed Divas in AMU even today, a day before that lets, debunk the mystery about this man. Sir Syed thought that if Muslims get close to the British, they will be able to get different types of benefits and in return, they will help the British to keep ruling this nation and he did everything he can to make this possible. In one of his address, he said, for 700 years we have ruled this nation, and you(British) have a history of ruling the world, so don't be unjust to the nation you are ruling right now(Bharat), we will help you to keep the English government intact" Sir Syed tried to divide the mindset of people based on languages, region, color, and socio-political structure.
British took the advantage of this and one of the officers named John Strachey said, "There is not and never was an India possessing any sort of unity-physical, social or religious" and soon was followed by many high ranking British officers making similar statements. Sir Syed thought that even Muslims and Hindus are two separate nations. This idea by Sir Syed laid to the foundation of the two-nation theory which was later exploited by Jinnah to break this country into two pieces. Going further, Sir Syed's closeness with the British was gaining him and the Muslim community many things. There were no separate electorates for Muslims then and Sir Syed thought that this is injustice towards the community as a whole.
According to him, it was done by the British because they found the Muslim community to be illiterate and hence founded MAO(Mohommaden anglo Oriental) college which later came to be known as AMU(Aligarh Muslim University) Due to his loyalty to the British Empire, MAO received a donation of Rs 10000 from Lord Northbrook. The British officers started taking benefits of the naive mindset of Sir Syed. They started praising him and he started acting like their lapdog as years were passing.
In 1882 he presented false data in front of Lord Ripon, saying the Muslims are not getting enough educational and service opportunities compared to Muslims. When the data was analyzed, it was found that 36.7 percent of the Muslim population in Central Province were getting service opportunities and in education 0.8% Hindus had access to school compared to 1.9% Muslims. But again the British used these data by Sir Syed and completed their demands and thus received hell lot amount of donations for MAO college. Sir Syed's demands were increasing as the days were passing. Now he along with Syed Mehdi Ali Hasan and a few other prominent Muslim Faces put forth the demand of a separate electorate for Muslims. He said, that Muslims should be given legislative seats larger than their numerical strength, and lord Minto who was the maestro of Divide and Rule Politics readily agreed to this demand, as he knew this was all going in the favor of the British Empire.
Lord Minto in his letter said to Sir Syed, "Will accept your demands in the petition not because they are valid, but seeing the loyalty of you and your community towards the British Empire. I am entirely in accord with You"
Due to the separate electorate, Muslims were now feeling powerful and used this to further their agenda to break Bharat. with this background and support from the British empire, to suppress the voice of Hindus and the nationalists of this nation, Muslim leaders came together to form the AML(All India Muslim League) which played a pivotal role in breaking the Bharat. In 1909, the Morely Minto Reforms further strengthened the agenda of breaking India when they legitimized the separate electorate of Muslims and this appeasement of Muslims turned out to be a disaster in the future for the nationalist countrymen. To sum it up, Sir Syed who is regarded as one of the first to start a world-class educational institute such as AMU was no more than a fanatic Jihadi who aligned his interests with that of the British. He made proper use of his knowledge to fool the Muslim masses. AMU was nothing less than a training center for the Jihadi mind, which produced many separatist leaders then.
Sir Syed who is regarded as the freedom fighter was just a lapdog of the British empire who could even lick the boots of officers to fulfill the demands of the community at the cost of this nation.
So, when tomorrow, If you see anyone celebrating Sir Syed Ahmed Divas, please show them the mirror. If they don't accept this, give them proofs and even then if they don't accept it then you know what to call them! No enemy of Bharat will be spared!
